A third name: Melrose Temple

1963

By 1963 the building had collected names the way it collected tenants. A Knights Templar commandery’s notices called it “Melrose Temple, 1100 Harvard,” joining “Reagan Temple” and “Heights Masonic Temple” in the record. Five names across a century, and one building carrying them all: the identity confusion is itself part of the historical trail, and this project untangles it entry by entry.
