1958
By the 1958–59 directory, the State Highway Department’s District 12 right-of-way section occupied the offices Sammy Baugh’s company had vacated. The mahogany-paneled suite built for an insurance headquarters spent the next stretch of its life processing road files, one more quiet reinvention in a building full of them.
